2008年搞笑诺贝尔 Ig Nobel Prizes 2008

       科学研究发现可口可乐会杀死精子，吃洋芋片的时候，听到卡滋卡滋的声音，会让食物变得更好吃，这些都是今年搞笑诺贝尔的得奖研究。 　　搞笑诺贝尔奖励的也是真正的科学研究，只不过把趣味当成评选的标准之一，它都抢在诺贝尔奖得主揭晓的前一周公布，每年有十个领域的研究获奖。几个受到关注的奖项为：
　　今年的搞笑诺贝尔营养学奖得主证明了：好听的食物，也会比较好吃。此说一出，一片哗然；
        瑞士一个主管生物科技的委员会，因为认定植物也有尊严，不应该随意践踏，而获得搞笑诺贝尔[b]和平奖[/b]；
　　巴西圣保罗大学的研究团队，证明穿山甲会跑到考古坑洞里面捣乱，他们拿到搞笑诺贝尔的考古学奖；
　　今年搞笑诺贝尔的生物学奖得主是法国研究人员，他们发现狗身上的跳蚤，比猫蚤跳得更高──平均相差二十厘米；
　　杜克大学的团队证明昂贵的假药，比廉价的假药有效，得到搞笑诺贝尔医学奖；
　　新墨西哥大学的研究人员发现脱衣舞娘在排卵期的那几天，小费收入也特别丰硕，获颁搞笑诺贝尔[b]经济学奖[/b]；
　　物理学奖则由美国的学者夺得。他们在数学上证明，毛发、细绳和同类的其它任何东西，都会无可避免纠缠成结，这个过程称为“一条不安的细绳自然打结”；
　　搞笑诺贝尔化学奖让证明可口可乐可以杀死精子以及提出反证的两组研究人员共享。
　　搞笑诺贝尔奖由科学幽默杂志《不可思议研究年报》主办，向一群头脑灵光的人付出的一堆没头没脑的努力致敬，从而达到“令人发笑，继而引人深思”的目的。
　　今年各奖项的奖品包括一块单调呆板的牌匾，以贯彻颁奖典礼整晚的派对主题──多余。牌匾上写着：“此搞笑诺贝尔奖于2008年颁予一名搞笑诺贝尔奖得主，以认可搞笑诺贝尔奖得主的搞笑诺贝尔奖得奖成就。”赢得搞笑诺贝尔奖也许并非每位科学家的野心所在。得主甚至要自行支付交通费到哈佛领奖。但此奖自一九九一年第一次颁发以来，到今天仍备受相信科学需要更加普及的人追捧。
　　此奖过去的得主包括发现壮阳药“伟哥”有助仓鼠克服时差、研究床单如何变皱，和发现野鸭奸污同性尸体行为的研究员。

  The annual Ig Nobel awards were presented last night, with the US takingthree of the ten prizes for the most bizarre or unusual scientific research.
The medicine prize went to Dan Ariely of Duke University for demonstratingthat high-priced fake medicine is more effective than low-priced fake medicine.

Meanwhile three researchers at University of New Mexico for their paperentitled "Ovulatory Cycle Effects on Tip Earnings by Lap Dancers: EconomicEvidence for Human Estrus?" which linked the earnings for lap dancers to theirmenstrual cycle.
The Physics prize was scooped by Dorian Raymer of the Ocean ObservatoriesInitiative at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Douglas Smith of theUniversity of California, San Diego for their work establishing the mathematicalreason for string tying itself in knots over time.
[align=left]American scientists from the University of Puerto Rico, The Fertility Centersof New England, Boston University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical Schoolshared the chemistry prize.[/align]
The team proved that Coca-Cola is an effective spermicide, but the judgessplit their award with the Taipei Medical University, which proved that itwasn’t effective.
Other winners included research into how to make potato crisps sound fresherwhen eaten, a paper on training amoeba to solve puzzles and the literature prizefor the paper "You Bastard: A Narrative Exploration of the Experience ofIndignation within Organizations."
The prizes were awarded at a riotous awards dinner at Harvard University lastnight.
